We arranged our wedding at short notice and heard of Jay through a friend.
It is a nervous and difficult experience trying to choose the person to
capture the most important day of your life, but Jay made both my wife and
I feel at ease within minutes of meeting.
He was keen to hear our ideas on which type of pictures we would like and
offered his opinion where necessary to ensure all parties knew what to
expect.
We also met up at the venue - The Fennes in Braintree - before the big day
so Jay could judge things such as light, angles and other technical stuff,
as well as identifying great spots for pictures.
We felt so pleased and comfortable with Jay that he was invited to take a
break from behind the lens to join our family and friends for the wedding
lunch.
On the day itself Jay was a charming and calming influence on proceedings.
He got close enough to the 'action' to get the important pictures, while
not intruding on the moment.
He was able to arrange our jovial band of guests for pictures with minimum
fuss and also picked up a number of wonderful candid shots. He did take a
short break for the meal, but was eager to get back on his feet with his
camera to make sure he didn't miss anything.
Jay's wife Tracy dealt with our photo orders after the day and was just as
helpful, friendly and informed.
And when we received the pictures themselves we were absolutely delighted - they were beautifully shot and just covered every aspect of the day we
wanted to be caught in print.
It was a pleasure to deal with the pair of them and to have Jay as
photographer - and guest - at our wedding.

We found you unobtrusive, friendly and professional, we just couldn't believe how hard you worked, from helping organise myself and my bridesmaid in the morning to the last dance. Everyone commented on how great you were so much so that my Bridesmaid has even booked you for her wedding next year! The photos are wonderful, we are both so pleased with them, they truly captured the spirit of the day and thanks to your great work we will always be able to look back with the fondest of memories!
